COMMON QUESTIONS

How do I join a convoy?

Someone in the convoy shares a 6-character code. Open Rovaro, go to the lobby, enter the code, and you're on the map with them. No account needed.

I got a new phone — how do I get my profile back?

On your old phone, turn on "Back up profile" in Settings and note the recovery code it shows once. On the new phone, tap "New phone? Restore profile" on the launch screen and enter your friend code plus that recovery code. Your profile, friends, messages and drives come back with it.

Is the SOS pin an emergency service?

No. The SOS pin only alerts members of your convoy inside the app — it does not contact emergency services. In an emergency, call 999 (UK) or your local emergency number.

Someone's behaviour in voice or chat is a problem — what can I do?

Report or block them directly from their profile card in the app. Blocking hides their position, messages and voice from you immediately; reports go to the Rovaro team for review.

Who can see my location?

Only the members of your live convoy, while you're in it — and optionally friends you've added by exchanging codes. Leave the convoy or close the app and sharing stops. See the Privacy Notice for the full picture.

Is there an age requirement?

Yes — you must be 17 or older to use Rovaro. This is enforced at signup.

Why can't a public route meet at my house?

By design. Publicly shared routes must start, stop and end at verified public places so nobody's home address ends up published. Use a private convoy for routes with private meeting points.
